A direct banking and payment services company with one of the most recognized brands in U.S. required a solution for lifting and shifting traditional legacy application to AWS using cloud native approach.
Client Challenges and Requirements
- Ability to maintain IT infrastructure – cost overrun
- Lack of maintaining scalability of server capacity in order to manage growing demand of data/processes – dependency on system administrators
Bitwise Solution
Cloud Migration phase involved in lifting and shifting existing applications and required dependency to AWS cloud using Cloud native approach.
Performed POC to lift and shift application and orchestrated containerized applications using Kubernetes which helped to establish viability and to isolate technical issues.
Cloud native approach was used to containerized application and API using Docker.
Kubernetes was setup on AWS EC2 using Kops, which was use to orchestrate application and API.
Team migrated applications & API.
Migrated legacy dependency such as file system and database required by application to use cloud based file system / S3, RDS.
Setup the complete CI/CD pipeline to build, publish applications and API using Jenkins and Spinnaker.
